Who we are

maars ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal data collected through this website. Contact: privacy@maars.cc.

Data we collect

Contact form

When you fill the contact form at /contact, we collect your name, email, organization, role, and the message you send us. This is the strict minimum to respond substantively.

Living Framework preferences

If you answer the two onboarding questions ("your role" and "your challenge"), we store your answers in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is used only to personalize the content you see on return visits.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard server logs: IP address, user agent, timestamp, and requested URL. These logs are retained 30 days and used for security and debugging only.

No analytics, no tracking

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party analytics that profile users. We do not set advertising cookies.

Why we process your data

• Respond to your inquiry (legitimate interest).
• Send a follow-up if we judge it useful for the conversation you initiated (legitimate interest). You can opt out at any time.
• Improve the site through aggregated, anonymized insights from server logs.

How long we keep your data

• Contact form submissions: up to 3 years after last contact, then deleted.
• Living Framework preferences: stored locally on your device until you clear it.
• Server logs: 30 days.

Who sees your data

Your contact form data is sent to our internal CRM workflow via our automation platform n8n (self-hosted in Europe). No data is sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Our only subprocessors are:

• Vercel Inc. — hosting provider (USA, with EU data residency).
• n8n.io — automation platform (self-hosted in Europe).

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to the processing of your data.
• Port your data to another service.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, write to privacy@maars.cc. We reply within 30 days.

Cookies

We do not use cookies that require your consent. The only local storage we set is functional (your Living Framework preferences) and strictly necessary for the features you explicitly interact with.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our data practices change. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page for 30 days.
